Meximozzers

I want to make a documentary called Meximozzer about Mexican-American and Mexican Morrissey fans. It’s a source of particular fascination for me as I grew up around the normal pasty, humorless, spiteful geeks that seem to make up the bulk of his fanbase outside southern California.

Then I move out here and see Moz perform with El Vez opening and Moz himself wearing an Aztec calendar T-shirt, performing in front of an enthusiastic, fervent audience almost entirely devoid of guerros. And then there’s Mikel Ernenxtun (who I realize is Spanish but, I think figures into the Meximozzer scene’s development), the Sweet & Tender Hooligans and my Morrissey-tattooed friends from out here.

So if you know anyone that would be interested, holler at me wodies.
